“Remnants” Exhibition Opening, & “Reflections” Presentation by Lenora Lee
The CHSA Museum's new exhibition Remnants: Artists Respond to the Chinese American Experience opens April 14, 2012. More information about the exhibition coming soon. Coinciding with the Remnants exhibition opening is a performance by artist Lenora Lee. Lenora Lee’s interdisciplinary work “Reflections” integrates historical research, personal narrative, and artistic processes utilizing dance, video projection, martial arts, and Chinese lion dance. It is inspired by stories of three generations of men as they realize their identity and community as Chinese Americans. “Reflections” transforms perception into insight in a process that is at once provocative and affecting.
