Chinese America: History and Perspectives is published annually by the Chinese Historical Society of America. All CHSA members receive a copy.

The journal invites original contributions on all aspects of Chinese American history and culture. Manuscript should not exceed five thousand words in length (excluding endnotes) and should follow the format outlined in The Chicago Manual of Style. A CHSA style sheet will be sent upon request. Authors shall forward six copies of initial submittals of manuscripts to be considered for publication. When manuscripts are accepted, authors shall send in two hard copies of the final revised version together with a CD containing an IBM PC- or Macintosh- compatible file of the manuscript input by a commercial word-processing program (Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Wordstar.) Authors will each be sent a copyedited manuscript for revisions or approval before publication. Upon publication, contributors will receive two complimentary copes of the journal.
