The CHSA Wells Fargo Learning Center hosts a variety of educational programs and events, including monthly lectures, book readings, genealogy, and family history workshops, and a wide range of other activities. The Reading Room contains a growing collection of books on Chinese America for teachers, students, and the general public. The TACT/CHSA Curriculum Project, located in the CHSA Curriculum Library, offers materials for K-12 educators. On permanent display is a historic mural by James Leong, "One Hundred Years' History of the Chinese in America."

Housing a wealth of resources about Chinese America, including children's stories, fiction and non-fiction literature, history books, CD-Rom, Internet resources, videos & documentaries, and curriculum materials, the Learning Center will enrich the education of all children and adult visitors seeking to understand the Chinese American experience. As a center for activities that will transform Chinese American history into something exciting and real for children throughout San Francisco, the Bay Area, and beyond, the Learning Center seeks to inspire a new generation of young people to be our future Chinese American historians, teachers, storytellers, and advocates.
