  Heinlenville Archaeological Excavation Open House in San Jose

Welcome to this public open house for the excavation currently taking place at the site of San Jose’s major historic Chinatown, Heinlenville, the history of which is featured in the amazing book, Chinatown, San Jose, USA by CHSA Board Vice President Connie Young Yu (San Jose: History San José, 2001).

Here is a the chance to wander through the field lab, view material on Heinlenville history and talk to archaeologists about what is being found. Tours will also be given every hour.
