Rediscover cinema with the two-week return of the San Francisco International Film Festival, April 19–May 3! The Festival showcases film innovation and presents marquee premieres, international competitions, new media programs, and star-studded events – including awardees Kenneth Branagh, Barbara Kopple, David Webb Peoples and Pierre Rissient. The program features 200 films of international and local distinction—highlighting new works by Francis Ford Coppola and Hirokazu Kore-eda. Don’t miss marquee premieres of Chinese-language films including Ai WeiWei: Never Sorry,People Mountain People Sea, and Wu Xia, an action film made by Hong Kong powerhouse Peter Ho-Sun Chan.
CHSA is also proud to support award-winning filmmaker Jessica Yu at SFIFF 2012 as she presents her new film Last Call at the Oasis, an insightful look at our dwindling water supply. Film screenings are:
