CHSA celebrates artist James Leong (1929-2011), who painted “One Hundred Years’ History of the Chinese in America”, 5 by 17.5-foot mural that is exhibited in CHSA’s Wells Fargo Learning Center. Activities will include viewing of the mural and a docent presentation about its history and significance.
A reproduction of the mural is featured prominently on a decorative building wrap covering the future site of San Francisco’s Central Subway Chinatown Station at the intersection of Stockton and Washington Streets.
